Vera CRAZY!!

Ok so all of you know that I'm nuts for Vera Bradley.  All most all of my bags are from here!  So when I was told that I could get bedding from them!  I was jumping for joy!  That is until I saw the price tag!

For a Twin/Twin XL Reversible Comforter Set that only includes a comforter and 1 sham you will dish out a CRAZY $149.00

For the Full/Queen Size you will pay $40.00 more and will include 2 shams instead of 1.  $189.00

I was so looking forward to getting one in the new color Paisley Meets Plaid.  (Not shown above)

These are only 250 thread count.  For that price they should be close to 1000 in my book.  Earlier this year I purchased a down (with feathers) from Target and only paid 90.00 for it and that was on sale and it is a King size.  It may not have come with a sham but I think Ill live.

Guess its off to spend my nice card from them for my birthday on something else.  Cause for these I think ill have to wait till they retire and go to the outlet store.

So will any of you be spending this kind of money on some Vera Blankets?

TMI Tuesdays

So I wanted something different and I came up with this last night.  So my TMI for this Tuesday is.

Being a woman have you ever put on your pad wrong?

Well yesterday I did.  I had gotten undressed to take a shower then decided to just do it later and put my clothes back on.  Well I did it in the dark. Which was a BIG mistake.  I put my undies on wrong side out so my pad was on the OTHER side and not on me.  So I was really lucky that my cycle this month is almost over.  Or that would have been a REALLY BIG mess.

So has this happened to anyone else?

Comment and win 1 FREE box of your choice!

BTW!  I love these pads. When I put them on right.  They have a scent so thats great.  And it isn't over bearing.  Its just enough to get rid of that iron smell.

So these are also under the Products I LOVE!

Viggle

Ok so you have probably noticed the above symbol on my side bar. With the other social links.  And you are trying to figure out what it is??

Well Its an app for your iPhone. If you watch tv you should use this app.  You check into your shows and get points for watching them.  Then you can redeem those points for nice things like a MacBook Air.  (Which is what I'm saving for)!!

If you sign up by clicking that button.  I will get extra points for referring you as a friend.  So PLEASE join!

Dippin' Dots

Grade-A
Dippin' Dots
5487 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial HWY  (US 192)
Kissimmee, Fl 34746

Ok to say I LOVE this ice cream is an understatement!  This place is
great! You can buy a cup that is 14oz. 2 oz. over the their normal Large.
And you get to keep the cup!  Its $10.00 and you can refill it for $6.00.
Dippin' Dots is so yummy!

Mongolian Grill

Grade- B
Mongolian Grill
1474 Town Center Dr.
Lakeland, Fl 33803
(863) 688-3777

This place is also near the movie theater. And if you love stir-fry then
this place is for you! The only issue I have had with them and why they
get a B is because Ive had issues with price changes and bowl sizes for
the kids. But, other than that the food is great!

Pizza Valdiano

Grade- A
Pizza Valdiano
Lakeside Village
1610 Towne Center Drive
Lakeland, Fl 33803
(863) 686-3730

This place is a wonder pizza place to eat. With it right next door to the
Cobb Theater. It makes it a great place to grab a bit to eat before a movie.

The Indigo Crescent

Grade- F

The Indigo Crescent
600 s. Combee rd.
Lakeland, FL 33801
(863) 412-6587

So there are not many pagan stores in Polk County, Florida.  But we do
have one and it gets an F for my rating.

The Indigo Crescent inside of what was once called the Second Hand Rose.
Is a failure for a store.  There is no one there if you need help and they have
a sign that says no on under the age of 18 is allowed in that area, yet they
hide it where no one will see it.  (good way to get around the rule)

Book Bazaar

Grade- D

Book Bazaar
2120 S. Combee Rd.
Lakeland, Fl 33801

Ok so the issue with this place is that they sell some books for CASH ONLY.
Which is really fine.  BUT, when I take in a book to sell for trade and they
will be marking it for CASH ONLY I expect to be able to get a CASH ONLY
book in return.  Yet, you can't do that. So right now at this moment I have
around $80.00 in trade that I have to wait around for books to not be cash
only. So I can use it.

Book Traders and More, INC.

Update- July 28th
Well I went in to the store after not going anywhere for almost two weeks due to a cold.  And I found out that the store was sold once again.  It is now owed by a husband and wife team.  They seem to be a little over whelmed. But I think they can handle it.  They have some really great ideas on how to make our local used bookstore even better!  I cant wait to see what they have in store for this shop.

Grade A

Book Traders and More, INC.
41  3rd st. NW
Winter Haven, Fl 33881

This bookstore was just sold to a sister duo. And well although they
are just starting out with a bookstore. They have done an AMAZING JOB
on getting this store to look so much better than those who had it before.
With books on everything you could think of they are wonderful people
who will help you find what you are looking for.  And when you trade a
book to them you can get ANY book you want in return.

Whats Coming!

I know I don't normally post on the weekends but I wanted to let everyone know what was coming to the now NEW site.

If you are new here ill let you in on what has been going on!

In the last few days I have sold my tour site address and my readers group.  I decided to just not use the readers site anymore since I just didn't have the time. As for the Tour site I thought it would be easier to have it here instead.  On my personal site.  Which used to be called The Guardian of the Crossroads.  So you will still see that places.

So now I shortened the name and created Crossroads.  A place of not only book things but others.  The post before this one you will notice is a product and not a book.  Well that will be a new thing for this site.  I will not only be reviewing books anymore.  I will reviewing EVERYTHING!

So for weekly content.  Things will change again.  I know I have been changing them for a while.  I hope that this will be the last time.

Ill keep you updated on everything that is going on at the Crossroads so don't worry!

Say YES!

So first off I am NOT being paid to say this.  I wanted to make sure that you guys knew that.
Ok so I have tried everything I could think of.

Proactiv just broke my skin out more and made my face all red.  I was told when I took it back that I was more than likely allergic to it. So my search went on.

St. Ives apricot scrub was even worse.  It broke me out so bad and not just my face.  Anywhere it touched me I broke out. When I found out I was pregnant with Anarece the doctor tested me for Murser (so not spelled right).  But its a bacteria that lives on the skin.  I was like great ill have that use some special soap and all the acne will go away.  Ya not so much! I was just WAY allergic to this.  :((

So next was some of the stuff from Neutrogena.  This first one just didn't work and left my face oily even though it says oil free.

Then I decided to try this one. Also from Neutrogena. And well it did around the same as the above. It left my face oily after I washed it. And just didn't work.

So on a trip to Target I found this.  I first tried the face washes which I'm always on the look out for good ones that don't smell bad and really clean my face of sweat instead of always being to remove makeup.  Well after falling in love with the washes which are also for acne.  I decided to try this.  And I've been using it for almost a week and just had to tell you guys about it.  My acne is way down now and really almost gone!  Cant beat that!  Even Proactiv says its take a full two months for good results.

My face feels clean instead of oily and well I love the smell of all this stuff.  They have body scrub that I'm going to try once I can buy it.  Target didn't have it so ill have to order it.  This system is $19.99 from Target and the washes are $7.99 so around the same cost as everything else.  The nice thing about this company is that EVERYTHING is Crunch Free which means is Cruelty Free.

So say YES I did and now my skin has never felt better!!

PS. Make sure you check reviews on Amazon or some other place.  Because I posted a bad review of the Blueberry facial towels and this is what I got back.

I had posted that I puchsased them from Target since they were on sale and they didnt have the Tomato ones.  Well they all went back to the store shortly afterwards.  As the smell was so bad it gave us all headaches.

This is about the 24 solar terms. The two symbols mean the end of summer. The terms developed about 200 years ago for farming to tell farmers when to plant and when to harvest. This was a great card and I learned something new!

The Little Woods

Book Description

July 10, 2012
Are the woods behind St. Bede's Academy really haunted, or does bad stuff just happen there? When Calista Wood, a new student, arrives midway through her junior year, St. Bede's feels like a normal school . . . until she discovers that a girl had disappeared a couple of months earlier. Some kids think she ran away, others think she was murdered, but it's only when Cally starts digging around that she finds the startling truth.

Watch as Cally enters a world of privilege, weekend-long parties, high school romances, and . . . well-kept secrets. This page-turner will appeal to teens looking for a fast-paced thriller. Written in a voice at once gripping and crystal clear, debut novelist, McCormick Templeman, will take readers on a twisting and turning journey as only a "new girl" can experience.

About the Author

McCORMICK TEMPLEMAN is a graduate of Reed College, holds two master's degrees, and is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. Ms. Templeman attended a school not unlike St. Bedes as a high schooler.

The only real issue I had with this book was that our main character didn't really know anything about being a teen.  I understand that she lost her father and her sister at a young age. But, still that doesn't mean she should live under a rock.  I know so many people that have no idea about the world around you.  So that kind of ticked me off.

Anyway this book was filled to the brim with twisted mystery and suspense! I thought that it was one person who did it then found out how wrong I was with an end that I didn't see coming!

This is another book with one girl and two guys a romance.  Which I'm kinda of getting tired of.  Why not just leave it with one guy one girl?  Why make it complicated?

The Miracle Chip

Join us July 2nd - 31st.  For this exciting tour of Promo stops, reviews, short interviews, guest posts, and of course GIVEAWAYS!!

About the book

F.E.M.A. Prison Camps are a Smoke Screen!!!!!!!!

Yes, there are F.E.M.A. prison camps, but they were purposely constructed to distract us from the TRUE PRISON CAMPS; the prison camps that will detain those citizens that refuse to be implanted with the comingbiochips….
Did you know, the Military has built its own prison system right here in the United States, and these prisons are notfor housing military prisoners?  In factmilitary prisoners(soldiers who have been court martial-ed and transferred into the BOP system) are band from being housed in these prisons located on military bases!
Everyone has heard about the F.E.M.A. prison camps. If it was such a secret, why does everyone know about them?  They are small, insignificant pieces of property enclosed with razor-wire topped fences and a few guard towers.  Have you seen the pictures? I mean, how many prisoners do you think these few F.E.M.A. camps could hold?
Of course, right now, most of these prisons located on military property are housing federal inmates for the Bureau of Prisons (BOP).  A few of these prisons are already empty, waiting! For what
However, like the book The Miracle Chip, when the BOP starts administering the biochips to the prisoners, under the New Prison Reform Act, and the federal prison population is reduced tremendously, all of these prisoners housed on military property will be transferred back into the BOP institutions.   This will leave the military with a complete prison system in place; vacant… ready to be filled with detainees.
National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) of 2012contains controversial provisions that allow the military to detain suspects (citizens) without due process or habeas corpus.
Now, you know where these citizens will be detained! Unlike these F.E.M.A. camps this prison system will be able to hold a mass number of the population without a problem.
In  this book, The Miracle Chip you will take a exciting journey with Sergeant Major Tracy Long and discover what it will be like when the military takes control of its prison system!
