A Scar in the Bone is a decent follow-up, but it didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The world-building and characters are still solid, and I appreciated the continued development of the story. However, some parts felt a bit repetitive, and I found myself wishing for a bit more depth. The pacing had its ups and downs, with certain moments dragging a little. While it’s still an enjoyable read, it didn’t fully capture my attention the way the first one did. If you enjoyed the first book, this one’s worth picking up, but it didn’t stand out as much for me.
