5 Star #Review #Giveaway of Immaculate by @katedetweiler

Mina is seventeen. A virgin. And pregnant.

Mina is top of her class, girlfriend to the most ambitious guy in school, able to reason and study her way through anything. But when she suddenly finds herself pregnant—despite having never had sex—her orderly world collapses. Almost nobody believes Mina’s claims of virginity. Her father assumes that her boyfriend is responsible; her boyfriend believes she must have cheated on him. As news of Mina’s story spreads, there are those who brand her a liar. There are those who brand her a heretic. And there are those who believe that miracles are possible—and that Mina’s unborn child could be the greatest miracle of all.

This book was amazing!  I really think if something like this happened in our day and age that things would be like this.  You would have the people who believe, those who don't, and then a third group of people who just don't really care about it either way.

When I first embarked on the journey of reading Immaculate I thought it was going to be over ridden with religious tones.  And I was kinda amazed that it wasn't.  And well the religion that was in there was done very well as not to preach to the reader.  I also loved the fact that the main character Mina really started doing her homework.  Finding out that a virgin having a baby didnt start out with the Christians like many believe.  Its not something that is wildly known. So that just made the book even better.

As for the setting well not much to say about it.  Its set in out time. A small town that comes alive for the reader.

The characters were great!  I loved how each one took a side right off.  Some for some not.  Mina really did figure out who her friends were and who weren't.

The story itself was so good.  I devoured it in a few hours.  Once you get going you won't want to put it down.  Its fast paced and yummy!  It does end on a kinda cliffhanger. One where I could see this being a series very easily.  And it is def. on my list of books that I want to see as a tv series or movie.

There is one show out right now kinda like it but without the spooky aspect.  Jane the Virgin where the girl is accidentally accidentally knocked up by her geyno.  Its very funny.

But if you want the supernatural aspect then pick this book up!

The only thing that I think I might want to worn you about is that there is no real ending to this book. There is no explanation on why this event took place etc. So I am REALLY hoping for a book two.  Because if this ends as it is.  My rating would drop a lot due to the fact that as a stand alone it ended unfinished.
