#BookBlitz: Arcanum (Whispers in the Forest) by @kellyohearnauthor @RABTBookTours @Giveaway

Paranormal Romance

Date Published: May 13, 2025

Publisher: Global Entanglement

Sometimes “happily ever after” takes more than one…err, two lifetimes…

The stunning second book in the Arcanum series, channeled through the tarot by noted intuitive Kelly O’Hearn.

Parfumier Sarah Fuller is in Provence, France, pursuing an unexpected obsession to an ancient flower: the rose. If she can channel all the sensuality, longing, and past-life vibes that she’s feeling for a near-stranger, maybe she can create her next best-selling perfume—and get her marriage back on track.

Sarah’s NYC penthouse, Hamptons weekends, high-profile career, and picture-perfect family seem like they belong on a magazine cover. How ironic that a Vogue editor is about to dash her dreams! Plus, she’s squabbling with her best friend, hypnosis therapy is making life worse, and her psychic is baffled by her sudden nightmares. All Sarah can do is hope that her visions of a medieval French maiden with supernatural powers will somehow bring her back to herself.

Time travel, soul mates, good versus evil: this sexy romance novel has it all . . . and the tale is far from over.

#ReleaeBlitz: Too Much the Lion by #PrestonLewis @RABTBookTours

US Historical Fiction/Civil War

Date Published: 05-13-2025

Publisher: Bariso Press

The soldiers did the fighting; the generals, the Infighting

In the waning months of the American Civil War, a delusional Confederate commander makes a desperate attempt to change the course of the South’s dwindling hopes by invading middle Tennessee. The tragic result of Lt. Gen. John Bell Hood’s misplaced hubris devastates his Army of Tennessee and alters the lives of the citizens of Franklin, Tennessee.

In a historical novel reminiscent of The Killer Angels, Too Much the Lion follows a handful of Confederate generals, infantrymen and local residents through the five days leading up to the horrific Battle of Franklin on November 30, 1864. The lives of soldiers ranging from Major General Patrick Cleburne to Brigadier General Hiram Granbury and from Sergeant Major Sumner Cunningham to Corporal Sam Watkins will be forever changed by Hood’s decisions and mistakes.

Franklin civilians like apprehensive and loving mother Mary Alice McPhail and teen Hardin Figuers, desperate to serve the Confederacy but too young to enlist, are ensnared in the events that will bring death and devastation to their very doorsteps. Devout Confederate Chaplain Charles T. Quintard must reconcile his religious beliefs with his support of slavery. Slaves like the elder Wiley Howard and the inquisitive young Henry B. Free are trapped on the fault line between what has been and what could be.

Too Much the Lion offers an unvarnished account of the dying days of the Confederacy in a powerful and moving narrative of honor and betrayal, bravery and cowardice, death and survival. Told with poignancy and honesty by an accomplished novelist, Too Much the Lion achieves for the Battle of Franklin what The Killer Angels did for the Battle of Gettysburg, providing a classic fictional account of one of the Civil War’s pivotal encounters.

A Hewey Calloway Adventure, Book 5

Western Adventure

Date Published: 12-03-2024

Publisher: Forge Books

Elmer Kelton’s Hewey Calloway, one of the best-loved cowboys in all of Western fiction, returns in this novel of his middling years, as he looks for work―but not too much work―in 1904 West Texas.Hewey Calloway had intended to pass straight through Durango, Colorado, en route to visit a friend several miles northeast of the city. He had left his home range about a year before, with a herd of young horses. It was supposed to be a relatively straightforward affair; deliver the horses, collect the payment, and return home with the money. Things got out of hand, however, and there he was in Durango a year later with plans to go north rather than south. Oh, well, he thought, he had always wanted to see new country.

It isn't long before his travels lead him to a cabin on a rainy night. There he meets a young man, sick as a dog, who weakly tries to send him off. And for good reason: the man has smallpox, and soon enough, Hewey catches the deadly disease. The man cares for him in turn, and it's just as he is feeling better that the man disappears. The next morning a Pinkerton detective turns up with posse, looking for a wanted bank robber.

As he travels north, Hewey seems to run in with both the young man who tended to him, as well as the detective. But something seems off about the Pinkerton detective, and Hewey keeps his mouth shut. When he reuinites with his friend Hanley, they do everything they can to get to the bottom of the mystery that threatens both theirs and this young man's life.
