My rating:
2 of 5 stars
Ok so I’m torn between giving this book two to three stars. I’ve heard that this book is like The Hunger Games, which I hope that it isn’t.
This book in a lot of ways was very godly. Very preachy and I’m not into that. It had a very intense message and was very political.
At the beginning of the book I was drawn in and I really liked it. Yet, as the story progressed it had parts that were written for the teen crowd then others that seemed would have been better suited for a children’s book.
The book also jumped POV, which made it a very slow and irritating read. The books love triangle didn’t really make much sense as Seth has done things that are not redeemable and Kieran and Waverly spent most of the book separated. So it made it very hard to become a fan of either love interest. It all felt very detached.
By the end of the book I couldn’t pick a team Kieran or Seth. And most of the time it felt like it was every person for themselves.
This book is listed as a book 1, so I guess unless I’m sent an ARC of the book 2. It will not be flying across my part of space.
