The Splendor Falls

The Splendor FallsThe Splendor Falls by Rosemary Clement-Moore
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Ok well I started out with this book because it was on my bookclub reading list. And although the story was good the entire book needed a firm editor. The first 400 pages could have been cut way down to say around 100 then the last 120 pages could have had more to it.

The only part that I really loved was the little dog. She was such a character. Stealing every page she was in.

So Im giving it 2 stars because the book could have been so much better.

Sick Kids!!! RUN!!!!

Ok so not one but both of my kids are sick with temps that are around 102  which even if you are not a parent you should know that, thats not good.

So they both got in the tub and the little girls is now down but the 7 year olds is still pretty high.  So hopefully it will go down.  I don't want to have to take her to the ER.  They will gripe when I tell them no they can't fill her full of needles just for a cold.

So I wonder how long it will take for me aka. mom and my husband aka. dad to catch this crap.

When life gives you lemons ....

When life gives you lemons. Throw them back and add some lemons of your own. So I won an iPad and started to sell off my print copies. Then our house got broken into and trashed. And all of the print books got torn up and my computer got stolen. So yay that I got the iPad but poo that we lost everything else.

A few people have been donating money to help us get back on track. And it's helped buy cloths and a few toys for the kids. So the donation button on here is for our situation and thanks to anyone who donates.

My Review:

This book was really good and is a must read. It gave a paranormal twist to the old story of Romeo and his Juliet.

I wish the ending would have been a little better. And I wish we would have cleaned up a few of the other lives that just kinda disappeared in the mist of time. But all in all it was a great story.
