{Book Blast} Addicted to You by Colina Brennan

When twenty-one-year-old Leah Carter's latest one night stand burglarizes her apartment, her roommate forces her to attend therapy for sex addicts. Leah insists she isn't a sex addict; she just doesn't do relationships. After all, sooner or later, everyone lets you down.
At first, the group sessions are little more than an education on how to be promiscuous. Until she meets the newest addict—blue eyes, killer body, and a smile that tempts relapse.
Psychology student Will McLean is posing as a fellow addict while researching a case study on unusual addictions. But the more he learns about Leah, the more certain he is that his desire to break through her walls and unearth her secrets has nothing to do with his assignment.
As the uncertainties spike alongside the sexual tension, the only thing Leah knows for sure is that falling in love would be disastrous. Too bad love might be one addiction she can't kick.

{Review} Emma's Secret by: Steena Holmes

Emma's SecretFor two years, Megan, Peter, and their two older daughters, Alexis and Hannah, dream of nothing but being reunited with the family’s youngest child, Emma, who was kidnapped just before her third birthday. When Emma is miraculously found living with an elderly couple just miles from the family’s home, they are hopeful that her return will heal the wounds her disappearance created.

But Emma is vastly different from the sunny toddler they remember. She barely remembers her parents or her older sisters. She is quiet and withdrawn, and, worst of all, longs for the very people who kidnapped her.

Megan is consumed with bitterness, while Peter works later and later nights in the company of his gorgeous business partner. And in the middle of everything, Megan’s best friend has become suddenly distant and secretive.

Then a chance encounter in town leads to a secret that changes everything again for Emma. And Peter must decide between the happiness of his youngest daughter and the trust of his family.

At the time I started reading this I didnt know that this was a book two. I didnt find that out until I had finished this book.  I dont think it took anything away from reading Emma's Secret at all.  Although now I will be hunting down a copy of book one to see what I missed.  This book is about finding a daughter after two years of her missing. Its been two months since she has been found and the family is just trying to move on with their lives.  Its a true heart warming story of how you pick up the pieces of a life shattered and then restored.

{Review} Dance of the Red Death

Dance of the Red Death (Masque of the Red Death, #2)Bethany Griffin continues the journey of Araby Worth in Dance of the Red Death—the sequel to her teen novel Masque of the Red Death.

In Dance of the Red Death, Araby’s world is in shambles—betrayal, death, disease, and evil forces surround her. She has no one to trust. But she finds herself and discovers that she will fight for the people she loves, and for her city.

Her revenge will take place at the menacing masked ball, though it could destroy her and everyone she loves…or it could turn her into a hero.

With a nod to Edgar Allan Poe, Bethany Griffin concludes her tragic and mysterious Red Death series with a heroine that young adult readers will never forget.

Bethany Griffin

Bethany Griffin teaches high school English and creative writing.

Bethany Griffin has always admired Edgar Allan Poe's short stories. "The Masque of the Red Death," which this novel reimagines, is one of her favorites.
"I've always loved the amazing atmosphere Poe creates," she says. "But ‘The Masque of the Red Death' is one of his shortest stories. I wanted to know more. I wanted characters and their stories within the context of this devastating plague. And that's where this story originated." Bethany Griffin lives with her family in Kentucky.

Well this one took me about a day to get through.  Although it has some very slight issues in the middle.  I did enjoy it and will be purchasing a copy when it comes out.  I loved the ending and the fact that this was a two book series.  The author tied up most of the loose ends from
book one and gave us a very nice ending.  I think if she wanted she could come back and continue the story with no issues. I will also be downloading the copy of Edar Poe's book of the same title.  So this one is a solid three for me and as for the series together I would give it a 3.5 as it was a good read but not something that I would rave that is a must read!

{Review} Masque of the Red Death

Masque of the Red Death (Masque of the Red Death, #1)Everything is in ruins.

A devastating plague has decimated the population, and those who are left live in fear of catching it as the city crumbles around them.

So what does Araby Worth have to live for?

Nights in the Debauchery Club, beautiful dresses, glittery makeup . . . and tantalizing ways to forget it all.

But in the depths of the club—in the depths of her own despair—Araby will find more than oblivion. She will find Will, the terribly handsome proprietor of the club, and Elliott, the wickedly smart aristocrat. Neither is what he seems. Both have secrets. Everyone does.

And Araby may find not just something to live for, but something to fight for—no matter what it costs her.

3 Stars
So I finshed this one back on the 4th of this month and started writing this review as soon as I wa
s done.  So how to review this one?! That is the issue I am having.  Although I would not say that this is the must read of the year.  I will say that the book was pretty good.  I think a lot of the choices that happened didnt fit with the story.  I mean if there is an outbreak and what protects you is your mask um ya I wouldnt be taking it off.  The main charater's name was interesting Araby although I have no idea how to say it lol.  Anyhoo one of the major things is this book goes over several weeks.  And in this time our main girl has gotten splinters, been stabbed by a tiny skull and if memory serves drugged more times than I remember 2 or 3 of those times was with needles.  So you are telling me that for some reason she hasnt gotten infected?! Unless this is explained in book 2 which I am starting on June 5th and will post it tomorrow. This series will not make much cense and will have a lot of inconstancies.  So on to reading Dance of the Red Death

As for teams I am still Team Will even though something happened that I cant say since I dont do spoilers but, I do forgive him!  The only other thing that I REALLY loved was that the minster who is the big bad after the prince.  His identity blew me away.  I didnt see that one coming at all!
"This one I own! Purchased it from the Used Bookstore called Book Bazzar in Lakeland, FL Great please to get some great books!"
NOTE: When I was writing up this review.  I found out that this is a two book series.  Three if you add the novella so that will interesting.
