Biography

Julia Dahl was born in Fresno, Calif., to a Lutheran father and a Jewish mother. She currently lives in Brooklyn, N.Y., and writes about crime and justice for CBSNews.com.

Julia is a former freelance reporter for the New York Post and her articles have appeared in Mental Floss, Salon, the Columbia Journalism Review, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Boston Globe Sunday Magazine, Pacific Standard, Marie Claire and Seventeen, among others.

"Invisible City" is her first novel.

This was an amazing debt novel.  I learned so much about the Hasidic religion which before this book I have never heard of it.  I have to say that this one was a very interesting story.  It really makes me want to read book two when it comes out.  This is a mystery novel not to be missed.  There was just so much in this book that I can't rave about since it would be a spoiler. lol.  So all I can say is go read it.
