#Review of After the End by @AmyPlumOhLaLa #Published @HarperTeen @EpicReads

She’s searching for answers to her past. They’re hunting her to save their future.
World War III has left the world ravaged by nuclear radiation. A lucky few escaped to the Alaskan wilderness. They've survived for the last thirty years by living off the land, being one with nature, and hiding from whoever else might still be out there.
At least, this is what Juneau has been told her entire life.
When Juneau returns from a hunting trip to discover that everyone in her clan has vanished, she sets off to find them. Leaving the boundaries of their land for the very first time, she learns something horrifying: There never was a war. Cities were never destroyed. The world is intact. Everything was a lie.
Now Juneau is adrift in a modern-day world she never knew existed. But while she's trying to find a way to rescue her friends and family, someone else is looking for her. Someone who knows the extraordinary truth about the secrets of her past.

My Review 5 Apocalyptic Stars

I was so beyond excited when we got the green light for Amy to come on the show! I over enjoyed this book and ate it up in about a day.  And I have to say that if one day you don't see me around its because these book's cliffhangers have killed me! Ok so this one reminds me of that movie The Village that was out some time ago.  I really wish that they would have kept that entire part out of the about this book because it took a lot of the mystery away.  I would have rather thought she was in a post war world vs. knowing right off the bat that she wasn't.  (sad face cry)

That being said I have to say that I was almost to the part where she finds out that it was all a lie by the time I did read the flap in the book (ya I know I know I didnt read it before I started it) what can I say its the covers that grab me.

So this one blew me away!!!  I loved it with all my heart and so can't wait for book two! So Amy if you reading this keep me on your list lol I want an ARC!!  PLEASSSSSSSSSSSSE

The characters I loved!  Juneau is such a great main character!  She is a no nonsense kick butt girl who just wants to find her family. I think she did very well in the entire book not breaking down like well I SO would have done.  I think that a lot could be learned from this book.  The first being that we need to be closer to the world we live on.  This Earth is our home and well we aren't treating her very well.  Miles I also loved although he is the rich kid with an attitude he really find his own words in this book and well straightens up to be someone that you could be proud of.  This book is told in alternate POVs of both characters.  It starts out with long chapters for Juneau and around 1 to 2 pages for Miles then as the story progresses and they meet it starts eventing out.

Go Into This One Knowing

Although its almost 400 pages it doesnt feel like it at all.  It doesnt have any love triangle (yippy)But, does have one killer cliffhanger. (no pun intended, well I don't think there is one).  This one would be good for both boys and girls.  I think it did a great job drawling you into the story so its very fast paced and even though not a ton of stuff happened and there are still a million questions I loved it!

"All opinions are 100% honest and my own."
