My Review 4 Ruby Red Rats

Alright so I finally got this one read after three long days of reading.  I did love it but don't think this one will sit well for everyone.  It was deff for the older YA as for violence and gore.  There is no love triangle yay and yes there is a cliffhanger but not your normal OMG YOU B*** I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER YEAR TO READ BOOK 2?!?!?!?! Kinda one.  It was more along the lines of Ok this book was good what am I reading next. 

Amy is a great new Dorothy (less evil but more in our time)  As with the org. Oz book and movie etc.  Dorothy wasn't set in out time so with Amy and her alcoholic mom etc.  It was a nice updated version. I really thing that this would make an AMAZING!! Movie!!!! (chants movie movie)

I loved what the author did for our evil people lol.  Dorothy really was like the girl in Amy's school.  Bully, glamor girl, who thinks she is all that.  As for the Lion, Tin Man, and the Scarecrow well lets just say ill be sleeping with the light on for a few nights.  They really creeped me out.

The one twist on this story was Peter you never really find out what is going on with him.  Which I hope gets answered in book two. As he is part of the cliffhanger at the end.  The Wizard does make an appearance in this one and ill have to grab the eCopy prequel to see if he is in that one.  As in this he seems to be out for himself. We get other great side characters in this one as well and I think it would have been interesting if the book would have been split into POVs but, that also might have taken away from a lot of the mystery this book has.  All in all I really did love it and I really hope to snag a copy of book two.  Which is out Mar. of 2015.  We do have another novella to keep us company called The Witch Must Burn and it is due out this Nov.  This is one of the best Debut Authors I've read in some time!!

PS. I LOVED the Rat Star!  

Go into this one knowing?

That its VERY LONG! And although a lot of things happen.  I really think that it could have been shortened just a bit.  I would have liked it to get a little more into the story. As by the end Amy has been in Oz for 6 months.
