This one we all loved it!
Holy cheese balls! This book was so awesome!! The beginning was a little slow but I could not put this book down. I'm upset there are more books in the series and that I don't own them (4 books total). I will be getting physical copies of these books for my collection.
The characters were good and I connected with them, especially Evie (there's nothing wrong with keeping your V card). Jack was a total jerk and I still don't know how I feel about him. The whole Tarot Card thing was FANTASTIC!! I was honestly not expecting anything like that. This book ends on a cliffhanger, so have book 2 near you.
So what to say about Poison Princess.....It was AMAZING! I am a little bummed that this isn't a three book trilogy since I had the third book via the library. I will now be waiting to finish this series next year.
The characters were all fab. I do think that Evie needs to grow a pair though. I mean she has this amazing gift she needs to embrace it. The ending to this one is killer! And I'm trying so hard not to read book two. I really loved how the author worked the Tarot into this story. It was perfect!
The story is a little on the slower side but only in parts and it doesn't slow down the progress of the book in the least. The POV is in Evie's with two short parts being in lovely stalker POV. But that worked out really well.
I was really worried that I wasn't going to like this one as it starts out with this creepy guy talking about kidnapping Evie. But, once you start reading you forget that Evie is telling her story to this dude. So that worked out really well.
This one had some great twists and turns. A boy that we still don't really know if he is a card or not. Which with the ending if he is were all going to scream. At times I was saying that Jack was an a** then he would do something so nice and thoughtful AAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!
Here's the skinny on Poison Princess; it's awesome. Boom. Said it. This is the second time I've gobbled this book up like it was a cheesecake and I'll probably do it again, because truly, it's FANTASTIC! Chaos, world ending, mystery, bad boy, hunger for survival, answers that need to be discovered and quirky characters make this book a delight! What can be said that hasn't been already said by all three of us? You still need convincing???
Here's something...a love twist that keeps not only the bad boy on his toes, but us wondering if he needs to be slapped or if he just needs a good cuddle. Who isn't a softy for a misunderstood boy from the other side of the tracks? Sigh, I love a good book boyfriend. Would Jack be mine...hard to say, but he is one that keeps me guessing. And you bet your bottom dollar that I'll be picking up book two; Endless Knight and book three; Dead of Winter...and CRY because it won't be out until next year, but book four will be devoured! What are you waiting for? GO! BUY THIS BOOK!
