Blood Red Snow White by Marcus Sedgwick #BookReview

Russia wakes from a long sleep and marches to St Petersburg to claim her birthright. Her awakening will mark the end for the Romanovs, and the dawn of a new era that changed the world. Arthur Ransome, a journalist and writer, was part of it all. He left his family in England and fell in love with Russia and a Russian woman. This is his story.

This title will be released on October 25, 2016.
Marcus Sedgwick was born and raised in Kent in South East England, but now lives in the French Alps. His books have won and been shortlisted for many awards; most notably, he has been shortlisted for Britain’s Carnegie Medal six times, has received two Printz Honors, for Revolver and Ghosts of Heaven, and in 2013 won the Printz Award forMidwinterblood.

"Sedgwick’s artful fairy tales and Ransome’s unique perspective dovetail into a compelling
narrative offering both a glimpse into the life of a writer and a nuanced take on the Russian revolution."―Bookliststarred review

"A story that should be devoured, savored, and shared many times over. Readers will be absolutely absorbed from beginning to end."―VOYAstarred review

Well if you think this is going to be the next retelling of your dreams your wrong.  At least it wasnt for me.  This one is more closer related to historical fiction vs. a real retelling.  It really didn't hold my attention either.  The magic it had when it started fizzed out pretty early on.  The only reason I finished it was the book wasnt very long and well the cover was just so pretty.
