If I Was a Banana by Alexandra Tylee, Kieran Rynhart @geckopress #BookReview

This boy's-eye-view of the everyday brings alive all the wonder and oddity of the world inside our own heads. It is simple and funny but resonates long afterward, and begs to be read again.

Alexandra Tylee is the author of two cookbooks and the mother of four sons. This is her first book for children.

Kieran Rhynhart is an illustrator and animator based in Wellington, New Zealand. He illustrated The New Zealand Art Activity Book in 2013, and he was selected as one of Luerzer's Archive best 200 illustrators for 2010/2011.

This one would be great for little boys.  It talks about being yourself and how it would be to be other things. With very nice artwork it pulls the reader in.
