This one just didn't work out for me. I held out for 40% of this one and after that I just couldn't do it anymore. In short, this one bored the ever living crap out of me. The other thing that bothered me is that the mystery on why the Raven Boys were looking for this Welsh King didnt get told and it wasnt told in a way that made me want to find out why they were looking for some dead guy. I just didnt feel invested in it at all. The romance between Gansey and Blue just seemed stupid as well. Blue at the very start (first page!!) knows that if she kisses her true love he will die. Ok so simple dont kill him! Everyone lives end of story. It just kinda seemed a little stupid to put that out there like she just wont be able to help herself. I mean really!!
The characters in this one seemed pretty shallow as well. I really hope that when the TV show of this is made they make the character's likeable. I just really didnt care about anyone. I liked the premis of the ghosts etc. but the story as a whole just fell flat for me.
