#Shelies: Book Subscription Boxes

There are so many book subscriptions out there that I know it has to be very hard to figure out which one to buy.  So I have a few tips for you to make the right choice for yourself.

1.Do they ship to your state?
If you are in the US for the most part your golden. But if your out of the US there are only a handful of boxes that will ship to you.  Without going into all the details.  Here is a short overview.

Fairyloot is UK based and ships to the US and you can find out if they ship to your country here > https://www.fairyloot.com/shipping-guidelines

Uppercase- This box only ships to the US and Canada

Owlcrate- They ship pretty much everywhere but not to Peru and Mexico.  You can get a full list here> https://owlcrate.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/209536058-Do-you-ship-to-my-country-

As for Bookloot I am not to sure about. They are a newer box and their FAQ isn't working.

If its not listed on their site like Bookloot the best thing to do is to contact them.  It never hurts to ask questions.

2. Cost ~Please note the shipping charges below are for my home which is located in Florida.

Cost I would have to say is the biggest thing to deal with after location.  These boxes range in costs from fairly cheap to way expensive.  Here is a light overview on cost.

Fairyloot if you are like me and in the US this box with shipping will hit you around $51.53 (with shipping)  since they are UK based its 40 pounds sterling which coverts to yours.

Uppercase - This one has two different boxes the first one $29.50 (with shipping) and will include a book and swag.  Their other option is just for the book and it is $20.49 (with shipping)

Owlcrate- This one has a Jr. box for ages 8-12 as well as a teen box for ages 14+ For this post were only going to be talking about the Teen box which is $36.98 (with shipping)

Bookloot- This one has one option and is $37.98 (with shipping)

3. Whats included?

For these boxes you get a range of items.  From tote bags, to mugs, to even stickers and patches and more.  So it really comes down to how much you want to how much you want to pay.

Going from the last box that was sent out here is what the range is.

Uppercase- This time around I received 3 bookish items (pretty good quality), and a scratch off to win some prices. as well as the book (signed!) This is the one thing that Uppercase has going for it.  Signed books!! If your like me and loved getting books that are signed then this is prob. the box you want to go with.
Owlcrate- You will get things from tote bags, candles, tea tins, and more. It is by far the better box to choose if you want more items and don't care about signed copies.  This box gives you so much more for just about $7 buck more. And you have the chance to get free boxes by sharing your unique link to your social media. Get three others to sign up and your next box is free. Just pay shipping!

Fairyloot- This box you can look up my first box will be here soon.  But you will get things way over the top! From tote bags, to mugs, and more!  They go over and beyond to bring you some really interesting items.

Bookloot- This box I am not to sure how to rate yet.  My first box is on its way.  So just check out my video when it posts.

My two sense

For me I decided to get rid of Uppercase.  With the cost only being about $7 less than what owlcrate charges and they give you a lot more items. I decided that my money would be spent better somewhere else.

With Owlcrate although I am keeping my account open. I have decided to skip months unless I really want the book.  So far over the past year we. have been able to guess what each book will be with the hints that are given.

Fairyloot I will be getting every month as they do not give a skip feature. But with the items they send I am excited to get these boxes.
