#BookReview: The Forgetting (The Forgetting #1) by @CameronSharonE

What isn't written, isn't remembered. Even your crimes.

Nadia lives in the city of Canaan, where life is safe and structured, hemmed in by white stone walls and no memory of what came before. But every twelve years the city descends into the bloody chaos of the Forgetting, a day of no remorse, when each person's memories – of parents, children, love, life, and self – are lost. Unless they have been written.

In Canaan, your book is your truth and your identity, and Nadia knows exactly who hasn't written the truth. Because Nadia is the only person in Canaan who has never forgotten.

But when Nadia begins to use her memories to solve the mysteries of Canaan, she discovers truths about herself and Gray, the handsome glassblower, that will change her world forever. As the anarchy of the Forgetting approaches, Nadia and Gray must stop an unseen enemy that threatens both their city and their own existence – before the people can forget the truth. And before Gray can forget her.

Last year during BEA/Bookcon I ended up getting an ARC of this one and well I didn't finish it. I hated it. But I ended up getting a finished copy of this and decided to give it another try and let me tell you!! Give books at least two tries because this was one out of this world ride!!
The author did an amazing job with the mystery of this new world and I just couldn't put this down. I fell in love with the mystery, story, and the characters early on and I can't wait for book two to come out so I can continue this journey!

I really enjoyed the journey the character's went through and the big reveal at the end.  I DIDN'T see either of them coming and I really hope that we get to learn more about this world that Cameron has created in book two!! I have so SO Many questions that I NEED answers for!
I can't say to much because it will give so much away. But this folks is a solid 5 star book that you shouldn't miss!!
