Welcome to Day #10 of the Emily and the Spellstone by @michaelsrubens #BlogTour! #BookReview #Giveaway

Emily picks up a stone that looks like a cell phone but has unexpected magical powers. It's a Spellstone! Now that she has become an unwilling Stonemaster—one who wields the power of the Stone—she has to figure out Spellstone technology fast if she is to survive a hair-raising adventure among giant dogs, demons, clones, mean girls, and deeply wicked people who want the Stone. A witty tale of a quiet girl who discovers she's a hero when she needs to be. Stonemasters rule!

Funs, Puns, and Magic!  There we go! This one was so cute and charming and so so filled to the brim with puns.  It had us all laughing our butts off for the duration of the story and I ended up reading it out loud to my kids. And we all had a blast with this one.  If you are looking for something for your middle grader to read then this is it.  They will laugh their butts off though most of it and they won't want to put it down. We do think that some of the things that Emily got away with were kind of far fetched and we wished that her parents would have been more to the core of the story. But other than that this one was so good and cooky! The author did a wonderful job portraying a 12 year old little girl.
