#BookReview: Furthermore (Furthermore, 1) by @TaherehMafi

Alice Alexis Queensmeadow 12 rates three things most important: Mother, who wouldn’t miss her; magic and color, which seem to elude her; and Father, who always loved her. Father disappeared from Ferenwood with only a ruler, almost three years ago. But she will have to travel through the mythical, dangerous land of Furthermore, where down can be up, paper is alive, and left can be both right and very, very wrong. Her only companion is Oliver whose own magic is based in lies and deceit. Alice must first find herself—and hold fast to the magic of love in the face of loss.

Tahereh Mafi is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the SHATTER ME series and her latest novel, FURTHERMORE. She can usually be found over-caffeinated and stuck in a book--or online just about anywhere at @TaherehMafi. You can visit her website at www.taherehbooks.com.

I really loved this middle grade title.  I don't do many middle grade books these days but Mafi does so well with stories that I couldn't resist! And I am so glad that I didn't. This book did a wonderful job creating this new world of fantasy! She keeps the reader going throughout the story and this is one that I could see for reluctant readers of all ages.  This one will remind you of Alice in Wonderland and others of its kind.  I really loved Alice and her feistiness, she was very quirky and sassy and I will love her until the end of my days.

Oliver was just the same he was very quick thinking as well as annoying and it worked out well for him as a character.  The world building takes first stage in this story with an epic adventure that you won't soon forget!!

If your looking for something colorful and fantastic look right here!
