The companion novel, IN A HANDFUL OF DUST was released in 2014. Her Gothic historical thriller, A MADNESS SO DISCREET won the Edgar Award in 2015. My Review: I loved Not A Drop To Drink. It was one of my favorite novels in 2013 and I absolutely adored this book. The story picks up years later, but so smoothly it feels like no time has passed. The story gripped me and was completely impossible to put down. It's super well-written and the book is filled with tense action and great characterizations. The characters literally stole my heart. Lucy and Lynn are both phenomenal characters and their journey cross country to find a new way of life is fraught with danger and run-ins with characters who might harm them or help them. I loved the shocking surprises. There were moments that stunned and horrified me and moments that were so hopeful that I cried. I recommend this series to everyone!!
