About the Book:

"A fast-paced, mystical adventure mixed with heartbreak and hope that will keep you turning the page well into the night." Brenda Drake, New York Times bestselling author

What if a magical touch meant leaving everything you loved behind?

I was supposed to die. The doctors told me I had only two months to live.
That was before I met him. Daylan.
He was the miracle cure I had been waiting for. With Daylan, I was no longer the small-town girl with that unexplained illness. I was something more. The fate of a magical world depended on my survival, and I longed to go with him. There was only one thing stopping me.
Tyler.

About the Author: Jenna Morland is the author of Empress Unveiled published by Oftomes Publishing, set to release September 3, 2018. Jenna is a Canadian born author, song writer, and mother of two that lives under the Northern Lights. Slytherin to the core, Jenna’s ambition to write her debut novel happened somewhere between training for a triathlon and putting her kids to bed. But it was her determination to follow through that landed her a publishing deal. Growing up, her wild imagination thrived off of reading and her most desired hobby was to let a book completely consume her. Unlike most writers, Jenna never wrote in a diary. She dreaded English class and she never dreamt that one day she would write a novel. Until she did

What do you think about representing sex in YA books?

Personally, I think it is important to touch on the subject.

Young Adults are often sifting through a lot of intense emotions and I think reading about someone else going through the same thing can be powerful. In Empress Unveiled Linda (Swayzi's mother) has a very frank discussion with Swayzi regarding sex. Linda was very young when she got pregnant with Swayzi and she doesn't want the same for her.

Do I believe there needs to be explicit description on the subject--no, I don't. But, if we ever get to the point where Swayzi is in that position, I think it is important for her to express how she is feeling, and the desire that lead her to that point. Any further, I think is up to the readers imagination
