#Interview Part 3 with @JennaMorland and @crossroadreview @ya_bookaddicts

About the Book:

"A fast-paced, mystical adventure mixed with heartbreak and hope that will keep you turning the page well into the night." Brenda Drake, New York Times bestselling author

What if a magical touch meant leaving everything you loved behind?

I was supposed to die. The doctors told me I had only two months to live.
That was before I met him. Daylan.
He was the miracle cure I had been waiting for. With Daylan, I was no longer the small-town girl with that unexplained illness. I was something more. The fate of a magical world depended on my survival, and I longed to go with him. There was only one thing stopping me.
Tyler.

About the Author: Jenna Morland is the author of Empress Unveiled published by Oftomes Publishing, set to release September 3, 2018. Jenna is a Canadian born author, song writer, and mother of two that lives under the Northern Lights. Slytherin to the core, Jenna’s ambition to write her debut novel happened somewhere between training for a triathlon and putting her kids to bed. But it was her determination to follow through that landed her a publishing deal. Growing up, her wild imagination thrived off of reading and her most desired hobby was to let a book completely consume her. Unlike most writers, Jenna never wrote in a diary. She dreaded English class and she never dreamt that one day she would write a novel. Until she did

Crossroad Reviews: I see you haven’t gotten tired of us and all the questions so lets get to it.  For your main character what Hogwarts House would they fall under and why?

Jenna:
Oh wow! I love that question. Swayzi would be a Ravenclaw. She's very intelligent and she loves to learn. She is hesitant to take a leadership role at first but she eventually finds her inner strength.

Crossroad Reviews: What do you do to unwind and relax? Do you have a hobby?

Jenna:
I love to run which I find therapeutic. I like to unwind with a good book and a bath. As for hobbies... I love to party plan!

Crossroad Reviews: Are there any hidden messages or morals contained in your books? (Morals as in like Aesops Fables type of "The moral of this story is..")

Jenna:
There are yes. But, I also want readers to take what they will from it.

Crossroad Reviews: Is there a certain Author that influenced you in writing?

Jenna:
I would say there are too many to count. I think every single author influences me, and that is why it's so important to read.

Crossroad Reviews: Which format of book do you prefer, ebook, hardback, or paperback?

Jenna:
Hardback, they are just so pretty!

Crossroad Reviews: What is your favorite book and Why?  Have you read it more than once?

Jenna:
Hmmm. One book...Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, and yes I have!

Crossroad Reviews:  What are you currently reading? Are you enjoying it?

Jenna:
When I am in one of my writing phases I don't read as I devote all my spare time to writing. I am a full-time mom of two young girls and my husband works out of town most of the time so I take every spare moment I can get. Next on my TBR is Keeper by Kim Chance!

Crossroad Reviews: Do you think ebooks will ever totally replace printed books?

Jenna:
I hope not. There is something powerful about holding a book in your hand, the smell, and the feel of the page when you turn it.

Crossroad Reviews: Do you think children at schools these days are encouraged enough to read? and/or do Imaginative, writing?

Jenna:
I am not sure... My oldest daughter is just learning to read but I always encourage her to be imaginative with her play. I think it is important for children to read and be open to the worlds they can create.
Crossroad Reviews: Do you have a favorite genre of book?

Jenna:
Young Adult, Fantasy/Paranormal & Romance. I have recently taken a liking to YA Contemporary as well.
