#BookReview for Welcome to Last Chance (Last Chance #1) by Hope Ramsay

Synopsis: "The essence of Southern charm!" --- Sherryl Woods, New York Times bestselling author

Wanda Jane Coblentz arrives in Last Chance, South Carolina, with five dollars in her pocket and hopes for a fresh start. Her first goal: a hot meal. But when she walks into the local watering hole, it's the man playing in the band on stage who suddenly has her hungry. With his worn black Stetson and boots, an open black shirt, and snug black jeans, everything about him screams Danger.

Clay Rhodes knows his small hometown is off the beaten path, and it's certainly a long way from his past life in Nashville. He left a bad relationship there, and the gorgeous brunette who blows into Dot's Spot like a hurricane seems like the type who'd turn his life upside down all over again. Not to mention that bad boys like him don't rescue damsels in distress.

Thank goodness Wanda Jane plans on rescuing herself.

Includes the bonus story "A Fairytale Bride"!

My Review: For me there were things that worked and things that didn't work in this one.  The small town setting and the characters were all very well done but parts of the story just didn't seem right to me.  It was kind of on the weird side for these two women to all of a sudden come back to try and win a guy over.  It just felt a little too far fetched to me.

The Christian-romance side was ok for the most part.  It really just made me feel like the characters needed to get their crap together and stop acting like children.  Although I did finish this one I do not think that I would read it again.

The extra short story we get is very cute.
