Biography

K.C. Finn has been writing since 2011, at a time when extreme illness saw her trapped in the house with nothing but her imagination. Since then she’s amassed a collection of stories, poems and novels spanning many genres, including fantasy, science fiction, gothic fiction, horror, paranormal and historical works. Her unique and diverse voice has won many awards, and she is both an Amazon and USA Today best-selling writer.

In her free time, K.C. is an eternal student, forever studying and learning more about the world. She travels whenever possible to explore new cultures and climates, and when she’s at home she enjoys coaching writers of all ages with a story to tell. She also exercises her flair for the dramatic by directing, writing and occasionally acting in darkly humorous theatre productions in her hometown of Chester.

My Review: This collection of horror stories was a great collection.  It had stories for everyone and I could not put it down.  The audio was done FABULOUSLY!! And I am one of those people that well I kind of don't really care for audio titles.  This one though hit it out of the park.  I could see this being played at a sleep over or something where the listeners are like curled up with the lights off. The length of each story felt good and they all felt like full stories.  The narrator was a great pick for this collection of stories and I don't think it could have been any better.

My favs were: Being Frank, The Ghost of a Melody, The Bleeding of a Thief, The Day the World Ended.

Go Into This One Knowing: CREEPY!!

Sinister Sentiments by K.C. Finn is a collection of tales with dark endings featuring various monsters and ghouls. In The Maybe Man, Gregg makes a Faustian deal with a mysterious man for power and glory, but it comes at a price. In The Demon's in the Details, Ezra inherits a demon from her father after his death. I especially enjoyed Delilah's Birth, which is set in the twenty-second century where, during a war, a woman named Delilah is injured on the battlefield. Close to death, she is captured and turned into a type of cyborg. The stories are written well, some with new twists on old tales such as Being Frank - bringing Frankenstein into the 21st century as he tries to find work for himself. Other tales are set in the past and some in the distant future. There is a great range and something for everyone. There are two excerpts as well of upcoming novels due out this year.

K.C. Finn writes some entertaining and creepy tales in Sinister Sentiments, some of which would be great as full length novels, but pack a punch as short tales. She has an easy to read style which flows well. I think this will do very well with horror fans. Although they are horror tales, there is nothing so terrible that they can't be enjoyed by teens too. (The author recommends no one under the age of fourteen.) And if they are looking for an introduction to this particular genre, then Sinister Sentiments would be a good place to start.
