#BookReview: Illuminae (The Illuminae Files #1) by @AmieKaufman @misterkristoff

Synopsis: Kady thought breaking up with Ezra was the worst thing she'd ever been through. That was before her planet was invaded. Now, with enemy fire raining down on them, Kady and Ezra are forced to fight their way onto one of the evacuating craft, with an enemy warship in hot pursuit.
But the warship could be the least of their problems. A deadly plague has broken out and is mutating, with terrifying results; the fleet's AI, which should be protecting them, may actually be their biggest threat; and nobody in charge will say what's really going on. As Kady plunges into a web of data hacking to get to the truth, it's clear only one person can help her bring it all to light: Ezra.
Told through a fascinating dossier of hacked documents--including emails, schematics, military files, IMs, medical reports, interviews, and more--Illuminae is the first book in a heart-stopping, high-octane trilogy about lives interrupted, the price of truth, and the courage of everyday heroes.

My Review:
This was one of the most interesting books I have ever read.  If you get a chance to read this book, I highly recommended it.  This book is written in an interesting and amazing way different than any other book I have read before.  In this story we are following Kady and Ezra as their hometown is attacked by a spaceship sending them and the rest of their hometown running for their lives to evacuation ships.  During their escape however Kady and Erza are placed on different ships and Erza in forced into battle as they discover they are being followed by the same ship that destroyed their hometown.  Kady is a hardheaded girl and is determined to discover why they were attacked, though during her investigation she finds out that it was more than just an attack, they released a deadly virus.... Will they make it out alive???
If you are looking for a good sci-fi fantasy book with brilliant story telling then this is the book series for you.  Kaufman and Kristoff’s writing are amazing!  I was hooked from page one!  This series is told through ims, emails, reports etc.  It is done in such a fascinating way you get sucked in!  You develop attachment to characters and get to meet so many amazing characters, and hear about their current lives as well as lives before the catastrophe,  and the action scenes keep you on your toes.  I am so excited to finish off this series and see where our characters take us!
