#BookReview: Greedy Heart by A.P. Murray

Synopsis: For Delia math just makes sense—more sense than people, anyway.

It’s 2006, and Delia Mulcahy is living in a shabby apartment and facing crushing student debt. Suddenly, she’s plucked from obscurity to work for Wall Street’s top hedge fund. Determined to make her millions, Delia must master the cutthroat world of big-stakes trading and profit off of the cataclysm of the looming crash.

In the underbelly of finance, no one is who they say they are. Delia finds herself embroiled in devious schemes and duplicitous deals as her recklessness threatens every relationship in her life: family, friends and especially the two rival CEOs vying for her genius.

It's a high-risk game and she is a better player than most. When her soul is on the line, how much is enough for her greedy heart?

My Review: I swore that I had already did a review for this title. But I guess I hadn't.  This story man I almost put it down.  The main character to start in this story is not someone I could mesh with or even like.  When I started this I almost put it down and I am really glad I didn't.  This romantic thriller was one that I will not soon forget and I ended up loving the characters and the story fully.  The twists, turns, and a few surprises really made me read this story so much faster!!  I could not put it down and really can't wait for another title from Murray.

About Greedy Heart:

The Big Short meets The Dutch House in this incredibly captivating and whip-smart novel about the importance of home and family, GREEDY HEART (on sale April 7, Tule Publishing paperback) by tech CEO and New York native A.P. Murray. While biding her time in Florida paying off crushing student debt in 2006, Delia Mulcahy discovers the inevitability of a looming crash and most importantly, how to make billions off of it.

Now the two top hedge fund rivals in New York City want her on their team, and are willing to pay her for it. What they don’t know is that Delia has some calculated intentions of her own regarding her family’s historic Manhattan legacy and Fifth Avenue property. A spectacular drama of real estate, inheritance, attraction, greed, and morality told through a fictional tale of the financial crash, the collapse of Greece, and one eccentric New York family.

"Author A.P. Murray masterfully interweaves Delia’s story with the historic disasters of the 2008 recession, Greece’s subsequent meltdown, and Hurricane Sandy, resulting in a novel resonant with veracity, humor, grace, and hope." —Colette Sartor, author of Once Removed, winner of the Flannery O’Connor Prize for Short Fiction
