Synopsis: One woman's quest for chili perfection

My Review: I gave this one 5 Chilis instead of stars but it seems Blogger doesn't have those so this one is DYNAMITE!!

Carolyn Brown had me hooked from the first page with this story of family and friends.  The story had a vibe that reminded me of Steel Magnolias and had me laughing the whole time.  I loved the lengths that Carlene's family go through to help her get over her soon to be ex husband Lenny and win the Red Hot Chili Cook off as the ultimate act of revenge.

I wasn't overly fond of her extremely religious cousin Alma Grace who seemed to be praying every few seconds but even she redeemed herself and stepped up to help Carlene in the end proving that blood really is thicker than water.

This is a great lighthearted summer read and I highly recommend it.
