My Review: Jacklyn’s world is turned upside down the day of her race. Never in her wildest dreams would she believe she would be attacked by monsters and thrown into a new world and a new life. Can she learn to use her new powers to protect the ones she loves and remember her past best friend Kyp. I was hooked from page one of this book. I loved the setting, how it blends seamlessly into a hidden world within our own and how fast paced that this book was. I also loved that there is so much action in this book as well as the magic system. Justine Manzano has a way with writing that draws you into the story as well as amazing character development. I loved how we learned more about Jacklyn and other characters by getting glimpses into their past. My only complaint for this book is I wish it was longer! I can not wait to read more from Manzano.
