#BookReview: Twilight (The Twilight Saga #1) by Stephenie Meyer

Synopsis: About three things I was absolutely positive.

First, Edward was a vampire.

Second, there was a part of him—and I didn't know how dominant that part might be—that thirsted for my blood.

And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

Deeply seductive and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight is a love story with bite.

My Review:
I am probably one of the last people on Earth to read Twilight however due to the release of midnight sun I was dying to finally get into this series.  Who doesn't love a good vampire book?  Though there were some “troubling things” that could be said about the relationship between Edward and Bella  in this book, there is one thing that makes it make a little bit of sense and that is the fact that Edward is a vampire.  So his life and mannerisms would be different than that of you and me.

Though she is quick to accept everything and just move on.  Other than that I quite enjoyed this book and look forward to continuing on with the series.  I liked the different spin that Meyer has taken on vampires as well as werewolves.  It is refreshing to read a vampire story where the character does not turn into a bat or fry up in the sun.  I enjoyed Edwards character development as well throughout the book.  As he states he has had his “human emotions’ suppressed due to other urges so it was nice to see him become more “human” again.  I also liked how Meyer described Forks.  I also found myself somewhat identifying with Bella's personality.  I could picture myself there and could see how the vampires in her story would love a place such as that.  I look forward to continuing with this series and seeing where else these characters would end up.
