The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi pure bloods have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals--well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures.

I couldn’t finish Half-Blood, and unfortunately, I’m giving it 1 star. The story was confusing, and the pacing felt incredibly jumpy. It was hard to follow the plot, and I found myself constantly lost in the details. Additionally, it felt way too similar to another well-known series, making it hard to get invested in its uniqueness. I had high hopes for this one, but it just didn’t work for me. DNF.
