#BookReview: Stone Cold Touch (The Dark Elements #2) by @jennifer_l_armentrout

Every touch has its price in the second book in the explosive Dark Elements trilogy, from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Blood and Ash series.

Layla Shaw is trying to pick up the pieces of her shattered life. Her best friend, Zayne, is forever off-limits thanks to her mysterious power of a soul-stealing kiss. Suddenly, the Warden clan that has always protected her is keeping dangerous secrets. And she can barely think about Roth, the forbidden demon prince who understands her in ways no one else ever could.

Rock bottom is only the beginning once Layla’s powers finally start to evolve. She’s offered a tantalizing taste of what has always been forbidden, finally getting what she has always wanted, but with hell literally breaking loose and the body count piling up, the price may be higher than Layla is willing or able to pay.

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Okay, so Stone Cold Touch totally sucked me back into this world, and I was living for the chaos. Layla’s stuck in this wild love triangle (Team Roth vs. Team Zayne, anyone??), and honestly, the tension was 🔥. The banter, the drama, the emotional wreckage—it was all there.

The plot picked up fast and kept the energy up pretty much the whole way through. I loved how things got darker and twistier this time around, especially with all the secrets and betrayal flying around. Also, that ending??? Yeah, it kind of broke me a little.
