This book was a solid follow-up with a lot to offer. The world-building was rich, and I really loved how the stakes were raised from the first book. The characters had more depth this time around, and their relationships felt more complex, especially as secrets and betrayals came to light. The plot kept me engaged, though there were a few moments where it slowed down. Still, the twists and turns made up for it, and I can’t wait to see how the story continues to unfold.
