My Review:
This had a really intriguing setup, and the worldbuilding pulled me in right away. The shattered Veil, the danger of being Fae-marked, and the tension of constantly being on the run all made for a strong start. There were definitely moments that grabbed me, especially whenever the magic or the Wild Hunt came into play.
But as the story went on, I didn’t stay fully hooked. The pacing felt uneven, and I didn’t always connect with the characters the way I wanted to. There’s a lot of potential in this world, and some scenes really worked for me, but overall it landed in the middle.
