This one had a really cool setup and I loved the idea of a forgotten ring revealing a hidden heritage. The world of immortals, magic, and rising war pulled me in at the start, and Mev stepping into a life she never knew about was definitely interesting. The tension with Kael added some good drama too.
But as the story went on, I didn’t stay fully hooked. There were parts that felt slower and I didn’t always connect with the characters the way I wanted to. The world has a lot of potential and there were moments I enjoyed, but overall it ended up being an average read for me.
