My Review:
This was a solid follow up that kept me hooked, especially with the darker tone and higher stakes. Being out on the ocean added such a cool vibe, and I loved seeing Lore pushed into tougher situations where she really had to grow. The tension, both with the mission and the romance, definitely kept things interesting. It didn’t hit quite as hard for me as the first book in every moment, but it was still a really enjoyable read with plenty of emotion, magic, and drama to keep me turning the pages.
