#BookReview: A Bond Beyond Blood (The Butcher's Daughter Trilogy #1) by @authorjjameson

Book Cover
Synopsis: Elias Bristol. Vincenzo Ricci. Gannon Hayes.

Three vampires with one goal in mind: me..

I’ve dedicated the year since my father’s death to learning how to slay vampires. Specifically, the monster who could have saved him but didn’t. With one of their own training me, I might stand half a chance.

But each training class with Vinny brings us closer together, and things go from complicated to what the actual f*ck when my ex shows up after ghosting me after my father’s funeral and, sure enough, Gannon is now a vampire—with a newfound thirst for my blood.

And sure, two vamps are a lot to handle, but when the vampire king returns and I fail to kill him even after months of training, my love triangle becomes a freaky foursome—and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t enjoying myself thoroughly.

My Review:

This one was messy, chaotic, and honestly kind of addictive. From the start, it throws you right into a world of vampires, revenge, and complicated relationships, and I was hooked on the drama alone.

The main character’s drive for revenge added a solid emotional layer, especially with everything tied to her father. But let’s be real, the relationships are where this one really stands out. The tension, the jealousy, the “what is even happening right now” energy… it was a lot, but in a way that kept me turning the pages.

Each of the characters brought something different to the table, and I liked how their dynamics kept shifting. It definitely leans more into the chaotic side of romance, which made it fun but also a little overwhelming at times.

Overall, it’s dramatic, spicy, and super easy to binge, even if it gets a bit wild along the way.
