Defy the Dusk completely pulled me into its gritty, post-apocalyptic fantasy world. I loved the concept of a world where darkness brings terrifying creatures and survival depends on reaching the dawn. Lirien is a fascinating heroine, and her complicated relationship with Vox adds plenty of tension, danger, and chemistry to the story. The magic, shifting loyalties, rebellion, and fight for survival kept me invested, and Danielle L. Jensen created a world that feels both brutal and incredibly immersive. I’m definitely ready to see what comes next in the Sundering Duet.
