TheUncovering smaller
Title: The Uncovering
Author: Jes Young
Genre: Paranormal Romance / Urban Fantasy
At the start of this fantastical romance, Tabitha Bennett is a young woman who has her life all figured out; she’s got a steady job at the local bank, a darkly handsome fiancĂ© she’s known since childhood, and her own cottage on the edge of the family estate. Then she starts to have chillingly graphic visions of her sisters’ deaths.

Someone is picking off members of the Bennett household one by one, and Tab is next. In order to survive, she must come to terms with her true heritage. Tab is actually an Elvish princess, heir to the throne of the Inbetween, the realm of the Light Elves, and the product of the Dark King’s rape of the Queen of the Light. These sordid origins do nothing to convince the Elven Court that she’s the woman for the job, and they have everything to do with the plot to kill her.

Her fiancĂ© Robbin is soon usurped by a gorgeous stranger named Alexander, to whom she’s been betrothed since her birth. The magic that binds them is strong and sensual. He guides her in her journey of self-discovery, helping to awaken the Elven gifts that ultimately keep her alive in the final battle with the agents of the Dark. She is betrayed by both her close childhood friend and by the Elven warrior who captains the Light army, but she survives by virtue of her fiery tenacity.

The Uncovering, first in a trilogy, is a fast-paced adventure, full of sensuality, suspense and surprise.

#TrailerReveal Losing Logan by @AuthorSherry #Hosted @yaReads

Losing LoganWhat if the one thing you never meant to hold on to, is the one thing you can’t let go of?

Normally finding a hot guy in her bedroom wouldn’t irritate Zoe so badly, but finding her childhood friend Logan there is a big problem. Mostly because he’s dead.

As the only person he can make contact with, he talks Zoe into helping him put together the pieces surrounding his mysterious death so he can move on.

Thrust into his world of ultra popular rich kids, Zoe is out of her element and caught in the cross-hairs of Logan’s suspicious ex-girlfriend and the friends he left behind, each of whom had a reason to want him dead. The deeper they dig to find the truth, the closer Zoe gets to a killer who would do anything to protect his secrets. And that’s just the start of her problems because Zoe is falling for a dead guy.

Life By Committee by @CoreyAnnHaydu #Review @harperteen @weiss_squad

Life by CommitteeSome secrets are too good to keep.

Tabitha might be the only girl in the history of the world who actually gets less popular when she gets hot. But her so-called friends say she’s changed, and they’ve dropped her flat.

Now Tab has no one to tell about the best and worst thing that has ever happened to her: Joe, who spills his most intimate secrets to her in their nightly online chats. Joe, whose touch is so electric, it makes Tab wonder if she could survive an actual kiss. Joe, who has Tabitha brimming with the restless energy of falling in love. Joe, who is someone else’s boyfriend.

Just when Tab is afraid she’ll burst from keeping the secret of Joe inside, she finds Life by Committee. The rules of LBC are simple: tell a secret, receive an assignment. Complete the assignment to keep your secret safe.

Tab likes it that the assignments push her to her limits, empowering her to live boldly and go further than she’d ever go on her own.

But in the name of truth and bravery, how far is too far to go?

Corey Ann Haydu, author of OCD Love Story, grew up in the Boston area but now lives in Brooklyn, New York, where she drinks mochas and uses a lot of Post-it notes, habits she picked up while earning her MFA at the New School.
If you like a book with a lot of internal drama then this book is for you.
Picture: New Age School, free spirited parents( could’ve been hippies if it was the 60’s) add in mean girls and you’ve got this book. A lot of internal dialog going on with the main character as she’s trying to figure out her place in life since her friends dumped her. Jealousy abounds and juicy rumors fly. The author shows how usage of the internet can throw a curveball into your life and unfortunately the main character decides to catch it instead of letting it go by.

I would give it a 3 out of 5. It wasn’t horribly written or anything. It’s just something that I wouldn’t recommend to a younger teen. More for ages 16 and up. Younger teens are more susceptible to the range of emotions in this book. Even though the main character comes out ok at the end the content may take a toll on a young readers self-esteem.

"*I received a copy of this book for free to review, this in no way influenced my review, all opinions are 100% honest and my own. OR I purchased the book on my own."

#ReadOn April 12 @4pm EST. for a Q and A with @JennBosworth @jasouders #WinBooks

This weeks #ReadOn is with two great authors with kick butt heroines.  First off we have Jennifer Bosworth author of Struck.  And next we have returning author J.A. Souders with book 2 of her The Elysium Chronicles: Revelations!

#Review Nearly Gone by @ElleCosimano #Giveaway @KathyDawsonBks @NightOwlReviews

Nearly GoneBones meets Fringe in a big, dark, scary, brilliantly-plotted urban thriller that will leave you guessing until the very end.

Nearly Boswell knows how to keep secrets. Living in a DC trailer park, she knows better than to share anything that would make her a target with her classmates. Like her mother's job as an exotic dancer, her obsession with the personal ads, and especially the emotions she can taste when she brushes against someone's skin. But when a serial killer goes on a killing spree and starts attacking students, leaving cryptic ads in the newspaper that only Nearly can decipher, she confides in the one person she shouldn't trust: the new guy at school—a reformed bad boy working undercover for the police, doing surveillance. . . on her.

Nearly might be the one person who can put all the clues together, and if she doesn't figure it all out soon—she'll be next.
