Biography

Padma Venkatraman is an American citizen and lives in Rhode Island.
Padma Venkatraman's most recent novel, A TIME TO DANCE, was released in May 2014 to starred reviews in Kirkus, Booklist, VOYA and SLJ, and rave reviews online and in newspapers such as the Chicago Tribune and The Denver Post. A TIME TO DANCE is also an IndieBound KidsNext Summer 2014 List selection.

The cover was the first thing that drew me in to this one.  And well that is not where it ended.  The about this book also dug deep within my heart. As this is a story about a girl who loves to dance and then looses her leg.  So as an amputee her dreams are shattered.  I have to say that even with faith I don't think I could have come back from that.  In this story you will dance along with Veda as she struggles to do what she was met to do.

Written in beautiful poemesc prose this book will take your breath away!
