Cat Winters is an award-winning author of YA and adult fiction. Her YA works include IN THE SHADOW OF BLACKBIRDS, THE CURE FOR DREAMING, and the upcoming HAMLET-inspired 1920s novel, THE STEEP AND THORNY WAY (March 2016). Her debut adult novel, THE UNINVITED, released in 2015, and her second book for adults, YESTERNIGHT, is scheduled for 2016.

I have a confession: I've never read Hamlet. Please don't kill me? But I will say that this was a great book with a mixture of supernatural and history and it was beautiful. I loved Hanalee. She's smart and so very strong. Some of things going in this book made me very emotional. I had to stop reading at parts because it hurt. But I really recommend this book!!
