Labyrinth Lost by @zlikeinzorro @SourcebooksFire #BookReview #MUSTREAD! Best Heroine of 2016!

Nothing says Happy Birthday like summoning the spirits of your dead relatives.

Alex is a bruja, the most powerful witch in a generation...and she hates magic. At her Deathday celebration, Alex performs a spell to rid herself of her power. But it backfires. Her whole family vanishes into thin air, leaving her alone with Nova, a brujo boy she can't trust. A boy whose intentions are as dark as the strange marks on his skin.

The only way to get her family back is to travel with Nova to Los Lagos, a land in-between, as dark as Limbo and as strange as Wonderland...

This book was SO GOOD!! The only issue I had was that this is an LGBT book ya I didn't know that either.  It creeps up toward the end of the book and although it was slightly hinted at during the first half of the book.  It was just kinda weird.  But I really liked it.  It fit!  I just wish it would have come up sooner in the book.  So this one has a slight love triangle yup its the lesbians and the straight guy.  So Im excited to see where that leads in book two.  I also wonder if book two will be in the same POV or will it be in one of the other sister's?  I really hope that its in the same since it feels that her story isn't over.  This one also have one killer cliffhanger!!!!

So you have been warned.

Ok so for other things!

The story is so org.  at least to anything I've read recently.  The magic, religion, and ethnicity of the story was just so good! I really loved that the author didn't shy away from the use of animals as sacrifices in magic and their world.  It made this one much darker than most books out there.  I also loved the coming of self that was in this one with Alex.  She really doesn't want her powers as she has grown up with them getting in the way of her happily ever after.

All the characters shinned and I really do hope to get a few books in each sister's POV.  I would also love a prequel to this series.  To learn more about their past.  And the other world.

This is a must read for any fantasy fan!
