#ReadByTheSea: My Plain Jane (The Lady Janies #2) by @CynthiaHand @jodimeadows @Brodiashton @ladyjanies @BookSparks

About the Book:

You may think you know the story. After a miserable childhood, penniless orphan Jane Eyre embarks on a new life as a governess at Thornfield Hall. There, she meets one dark, brooding Mr. Rochester. Despite their significant age gap (!) and his uneven temper (!!), they fall in love—and, Reader, she marries him. (!!!)

Or does she?

Prepare for an adventure of Gothic proportions, in which all is not as it seems, a certain gentleman is hiding more than skeletons in his closets, and one orphan Jane Eyre, aspiring author Charlotte Brontë, and supernatural investigator Alexander Blackwood are about to be drawn together on the most epic ghost hunt this side of Wuthering Heights.

Noteworthy experiences while reading this book: When I started this one I thought it was a direct sequel but I found out early on that it wasn't. You don't even need to read May Lady Jane to read this one. Which at first was kind of a let down as I really wanted to read more about the characters in the first book. But it ended up being a spectacular adventure.

Check out the author's other books? YES!!!!
Recommend this book? O YES!!!

Notes and Opinions:   I am not one for classics but this one was really good. It took the classic story of Jane Eyre and blended it with some great paranormal aspects. (Think Ghostbusters).  The only thing I didn't like about this story was that in My Lady Jane we got a totally new tale and in this one, we followed almost the same story of the original Jane Eyre. That was a slight let down but the snarky, laugh our loud aspects that I fell in love with book one are still present. This one would be a great summer read to take with you to the beach. As long as you don't mind laughing out loud at different parts of the story and well prob. freaking people around you.

Go Into This One Knowing: Great characters, Historical, Paranormal, SNARKY!!!
