1682. The king sends out an invitation to all the maidens in France: their presence is requested at a number of balls and events that will be held in honor of the dashing Prince Louis, who must choose a bride.

My Review: Unfortunately the few twists and turns that were in this. Just weren't enough to make it worth my while. The main character was just stupid and she didn't understand anything that was going on around her in her own story. I wished that the authors would have done better by her. I mean seriously you can't be that clueless in your own story. I had to give up on this one because it sadly just wasn't well done. I love De La Cruz's stories but this one just fell so far from what I am used to getting from her.
