#Shelfie: 2 Tips for Social Media Accounts

This week on Shelfies is a post about social media. If you are like me, you have a lot going on in your life. From kids to blogging, to just getting things like laundry and dinner taken care of.  And we wont even talk about this book I am writing.  With all of this going on it can be very hard to get your social media accounts going.  Getting burned out is no joke (I speak from personal experience on that one) and it can be a nasty thing to deal with.  So here are some tips that I have found and used over the years.

Do you have a tip not mentioned below?  Let us know about in the comments!

#BookReview: We Are Family by Patricia Hegarty, Ryan Wheatcroft

Through illness and health, in celebration and disappointment, families stick together. Some families are made up of many people, and some are much smaller. Sometimes family members look like each other, and sometimes they don't! But even though every family is different, the love is all the same.

#Fangirl with @pccastauthor @KCastAuthor

I can't tell you how happy I was to learn that we were not only getting a new book in the HoN series but a new spin off! I about died of happiness.  This series has been one of my favorites since it started. The House of Night books were one of the first I ever reviewed on this site so they have become engrained within my book world. I hope you enjoy this fangirling friday post and let us know in the comments what your fangirling or fanguying over this week!

#BookReview: Wordplay: TOON Level 1 by Ivan Brunetti

Go “outside,” “elsewhere,” and down the “rabbit hole” with this hilarious introduction to compound words. Young readers will fall in love with the English language as they watch star cartoonist Ivan Brunetti put his sly spin on vocabulary. The lesson here? Even “homework” is fun when you let yourself play with the words.

#BookReview: The Wolf Who Wanted to be an Artist by Orianne Lallemand, Eleonore Thuillier

As he auditions for the role of the Big Bad Wolf, his true talent is discovered. And with a little help from his friends, the Wolf embarks on a journey towards world fame . . .

Eléonore Thuillier started as a fashion designer before turning to illustrating children’s books.

#BookTour: Love in the Friend Zone by @MollyELee

The only thing worse than not being able to tell your best friend you’re head over heels in love with him? Having to smile and nod when he enlists your help to ensnare the girl of his dreams.

Braylen didn’t even want to go to Lennon Pryor’s epic graduation-night party, but when Fynn begs her to be his “wingwoman,” she can’t deny him. Talking up her BFF—how he’s magic behind a camera, with a killer sense of humor and eyelashes that frame the most gorgeous blue eyes in the history of forever—is easy. Supporting his efforts to woo someone so completely wrong for him? Not so much.

Fynn knows that grad night is his last shot before leaving for college to find true love. And thanks to Bray, he gets his chance with the beautiful Katy Evans. But over the course of the coolest party of their high school careers, he starts to see that perhaps what he really wants has been in front of him all along. Bray’s been his best friend since kindergarten, though, and he’d rather have her in his life as a friend than not at all.

Disclaimer: This Entangled Teen Crush book contains one epic party, complete with every high-schoolers-gone-bad shenanigan, and two best friends whose sexual chemistry is off the charts…if only they’d succumb to it.

#BookReview: Scent of the Past by @ErinMBernardo #Giveaway

A secret diary. A forgotten past. Another time. Close cousins Addison and Elissa live in present day New York City and lead somewhat ordinary lives. When uncertain circumstances surrounding a set of antique perfume bottles sends them back to eighteenth-century France, they must uncover the truth behind their travel. Disaster strikes when Addison finds herself in a nearly identical situation to a mishap she experienced in the present-the witnessing of a murder and release of a secret. Only this time the truth could destroy the entire French monarchy. With Addison's head on the line, the young women search for answers before Addison suffers her unlucky fate twice. It is only when they discover the haunting connections to life in the present, that they understand why they both were sent, and why a repeating past...may not always be such a bad thing.

#NerdBlast: Ban This Book by @AlanGratz @JeanBookNerd #Giveaway

-Readers, librarians, and all those books that have drawn a challenge have a brand new hero.... Stand up and cheer, book lovers. This one's for you.- --Kathi Appelt, author of the Newbery Honor-winning The Underneath

An inspiring tale of a fourth-grader who fights back when her favorite book is banned from the school library--by starting her own illegal locker library!

It all started the day Amy Anne Ollinger tried to check out her favorite book in the whole world, From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, from the school library. That's when Mrs. Jones, the librarian, told her the bad news: her favorite book was banned! All because a classmate's mom thought the book wasn't appropriate for kids to read.

Amy Anne decides to fight back by starting a secret banned books library out of her locker. Soon, she finds herself on the front line of an unexpected battle over book banning, censorship, and who has the right to decide what she and her fellow students can read.

Reminiscent of the classic novel Frindle by Andrew Clements for its inspiring message, Ban This Book is a love letter to the written word and its power to give kids a voice.

-Ban This Book is absolutely brilliant and belongs on the shelves of every library in the multiverse.---Lauren Myracle, author of the bestselling Internet Girls series, the most challenged books of 2009 and 2011
