About the Book:

When Ruby woke up on her tenth birthday, something about her had changed. Something frightening enough to make her parents lock her in the garage and call the police. Something that got her sent to Thurmond, a brutal government “rehabilitation camp.”

She might have survived the mysterious disease that had killed most of America’s children, but she and the others emerged with something far worse: frightening abilities they could not control.

Now sixteen, Ruby is one of the dangerous ones. When the truth comes out, Ruby barely escapes Thurmond with her life. She is on the run, desperate to find the only safe haven left for kids like her—East River. She joins a group of kids who have escaped their own camp. Liam, their brave leader, is falling hard for Ruby.

But no matter how much she aches for him, Ruby can’t risk getting close. Not after what happened to her parents. When they arrive at East River, nothing is as it seems, least of all its mysterious leader. But there are other forces at work, people who will stop at nothing to use Ruby in their fight against the government. Ruby will be faced with a terrible choice, one that may mean giving up her only chance at having a life worth living.

Welcome to the new BookTube Monday posts! This week we have an unboxing for the June Uppercase Box.    This is not one of my favorite bags but I am excited to check out this book. I still think that this company is one of the best. All the books are signed and they have some of the coolest things in their bags. I just think that going forward a lot of these subscription boxes need to get away from the normal things like the paper products, bath bombs, etc. I would love to get more usable products vs. the same old thing over and over.

As a disclaimer I would like to tell you that I purchsed this box on my own. This was not asked of me to do and I get nothing from it. Even the link below to uppercase is just their actual link. It is not an affiliated link.

About the Book: What would you do if you found yourself in a strange place and the only thing you were sure of was that you were dead?

Evelyn knows that she has just died but she can't remember anything else about her life. She is in an empty space, void of any colors, shapes or sounds.

Just when she thinks she will go crazy, she meets Adrian. Adrian is a man-like creature who tells her that he will be her guide in this after-life. He will help her to capture every emotion that she ever felt in life so that she can move on from this place.

The more Evelyn learns about herself, the more she learns about Adrian. She soon realizes that Adrian is not who she thought he was.

In the end, she must make a choice: forgive those who hurt her the most, or stay trapped in the empty place forever.
