#Review Let the Storm Break by @SW_Messenger #Published @SimonTeen

Let the Storm Break (Let the Sky Fall, #2)Whirlwind romance and breathtaking action continues in the sequel to Let the Sky Fall, which Becca Fitzpatrick called “charged and romantic.”

Vane Weston is haunted. By the searing pull of his bond to Audra. By the lies he’s told to cover for her disappearance. By the treacherous winds that slip into his mind, trying to trap him in his worst nightmares. And as his enemies grow stronger, Vane doesn’t know how much longer he can last on his own.

But Audra’s still running. From her past. From the Gales. Even from Vane, who she doesn’t believe she deserves. And the farther she flees, the more danger she finds. She possesses the secret power her enemy craves, and protecting it might be more than she can handle—especially when she discovers Raiden’s newest weapon.

With the Gale Force weakened by recent attacks, and the power of four collapsing, Vane and Audra are forced to make a choice: keep trusting the failing winds, or turn to the people who’ve betrayed them before. But even if they survive the storms sent to destroy them, will they have anything left to hold on to?

Shannon Messenger

Biography

Shannon Messenger graduated from the USC School of Cinematic Arts where she learned--among other things--that she liked watching movies much better than making them. She's studied art, screenwriting, and television production, but realized her real passion was writing for kids and teens. Her middle grade series, KEEPER OF THE LOST CITIES, is published by Simon & Schuster (Aladdin) and her YA series, LET THE SKY FALL, is published by Simon Pulse. She lives in Southern California with her husband and an embarrassing number of cats. Find her online at shannonmessenger.com.

So this book was AMAZING! Vane and Audra are now my FAV YA Couple.  This book goes well beyond the book2s that I have come to know.  And blows the plot, story, and characters, out of the sky.  I will will be crying until I can read book three!!
This book picks up where book one ended.  And the ending left me in shock.  I hate cliffhangers lol. This books dual POV was so good!  I really have to praise the author on her work.  The POV changes with each chapter. One with Vane one with Audra and it works so well.  It think other authors could learn a thing or two from these two books.  The only issue I had was that Vane a lot of times reads like a girl or a over hormonal boy.  But as I really got into the book I started to love it!!  Vane isnt scared to take a helping hand instead of trying to do it on his own (unlike a lot of other teen boys in other books)  He also isn't afraid to stand up for those he loves etc.  I think he really came into his own in Let the Storm Break.  Audra just keeps getting better.  I love her character.  And I would have to say that if I was a gale and I had to choose between Solana (sorry if thats spelled wrong)  and Aurda I would choose Audra just for the fact that she is a fighter.  I know that Solona isn't just a pretty face but, my vote would go to Audra because she is strong and would never let the fourth language fall into the wrong hands.  As you will see in this book.

This series has to be one of the best and most unique paranormal stories I've read in some time.  Its fast paced and never lets you put the book down.  It will make you laugh, cry, and scream, o ya!  This one doesn't have a Love Triangle.  Although maybe the author was trying to add one with Solana it just isn't going anywhere as Vane is diehard in love with Audra.

"All opinions are 100% honest and my own."

#Review Tsarina by @JacksonPearce #Giveaway @RazorbillBooks @NightOwlReviews

TsarinaNatalya knows a secret.
A magical Faberge egg glows within the walls of Russia's Winter Palace.
It holds a power rooted in the land and stolen from the mystics.
A power that promises a life of love for her and Alexei Romanov.
Power, that, in the right hands, can save her way of life.
But it's not in the right hands.

Biography

J. Nelle Patrick lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with a slightly cross-eyed cat and a lot of secondhand furniture. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in English and a minor in philosophy. She auditioned for the circus once but didn't make it. She is also the author of a series of retold fairytales.

This novel dares you to ask what you think about one thing: Is it your fault where and into what situations you are born into? The truth of the fact is that we have no control over that. Yet,  aren't we to blame if we simply accept things the way they are without trying to change them?

The author says in her note at the end: The Russian Revolution, truth be told, needs little to no fictionalization to be a fascinating time period, full of beauty and horror and wonder. That Tsarina is met to be a novel not a text book.  Well I have to say that this book both intreated me and fascinated me.  The blend of both fact and fiction was just amazingly blended well.  In a breathtaking read.

I was so absorbed with this book and the setting of this book.  The author takes to you Russia and now I really want to visit there before I die.  I felt so wholly absorbed into the place and time as I read Tsarina.  Readers will love the atmosphere and feel of this book.   This one has it all.  Romance and Natalya's quest to save Russia.

The only issue I did have with this one is that the ending felt rushed.

Biography

I took some time to figure out what I wanted to say about this book.  Grace really thinks that her 40th birthday will be day one of the rest of her life.  But then she gets news from her husband and BFF and she goes about thinking that she is going to loose it all.  I really loved the struggle that Grace goes through.  Should she walk away or stay.  I think dealing with all of these different situations in this short amount of time. That Grace did an amazing job.  And Susie is a wonderful author.

#Review Let the Sky Fall by @SW_Messenger #Published @simonteen

Let the Sky Fall (Let the Sky Fall, #1)
Vane Weston should have died in the category-five tornado that killed his parents. Instead, he woke up in a pile of rubble with no memories of his past - except one: a beautiful, dark-haired girl standing in the winds. She swept through his dreams ever since, and he clings to the hope that she's real.

Audra is real, but she isn't human. She's a sylph, an air elemental who can walk on the wind, translate its alluring songs, even twist it into a weapon. She's also a guardian - Vane's guardian - and has sworn an oath to protect him at all costs.

When a hasty mistake reveals their location to the enemy who murdered both their families, Audra has just days to help Vane unlock his memories. And as the storm winds gather, Audra and Vane start to realize that the greatest danger might not be the warriors coming to destroy them, but the forbidden romance growing between them.
