#Review of The Truth About Alice by @jenmathieu

Everyone has a lot to say about Alice Franklin, and it’s stopped mattering whether it’s true. The rumors started at a party when Alice supposedly had sex with two guys in one night. When school starts everyone almost forgets about Alice until one of those guys, super-popular Brandon, dies in a car wreck that was allegedly all Alice’s fault. Now the only friend she has is a boy who may be the only other person who knows the truth, but is too afraid to admit it. Told from the perspectives of popular girl Elaine, football star Josh, former outcast Kelsie, and shy genius Kurt, we see how everyone has a motive to bring – and keep – Alice down.

Jennifer Mathieu started writing stories when she was in kindergarten and now teaches English to middle and high schoolers. She lives in Texas with her husband, her son, her dog, and two cats. Nothing bad has ever been written on the bathroom stall about Jennifer. At least she doesn't think so. The Truth About Alice is Jennifer's debut novel.

Well this one just wasn't for me.  The book starts out in one persons POV where she is talking about this other girl named Alice.  (Which I would like to add that she never gets her POV in the entire book.) She goes on to say things about Alice being a slut etc.  And then the book switches to another POV who does the same thing.  And then again the book switches to ANOTHER POV who of course is giving their two sense about what is going on with Alice.  I gave up at around 25%.  This book is nothing but a ton of high school students slut shamming one of their peers.  And that peer Alice never gets to defend herself.  She just takes it all lying down.  I mean even at that age if I would have been Alice I would have been standing up for myself.  Or even my mom would have.  This book seemed very unrealistic even though it is not paranormal.  So this one just wasn't for me.
