#Giveaway #IndieBF15: Ascension Denied by @eaawilsonauthor

Ascension Denied
A hilarious tale of mystery, adventure and the search for freedom in a complex and fascinating afterlife, where angels and humans struggle to navigate their own weaknesses.

Purgatory is in trouble. In a bureaucratic Astral existence where science, theology and utter confusion are entwined, something is preventing the dead from ascending. Following her own untimely death by house fire, Alice Shepherd has found herself a nice, sensible job as an administrator at the Office of Transition, where she can work to earn enough virtue to finally rest in peace.

But when the power-hungry Mayor Jagger T. Fleisch demands she conceals obvious corruption, Alice takes action to set things straight. This could be her one chance to redeem herself from an awful secret, still burning in her gut like steely battery acid.

Can Alice unclog a corrupt system before the streets are overrun by dead people? And what happens when two drunk guardian angels accidentally open the doors to Hell?

 About the Author
In 2011, after nearly a decade of sharpening pencils and resolving printer jams, E. A. A. Wilson discovered that she was, in fact, a writer imprisoned in a bureaucrat's body.

She left her sensible administrative career in Lincoln, UK to pursue her dreams of living by the beach and making stuff up. With her husband and baby daughter in tow she settled in Sarasota Florida and started writing: the tapping on the keyboard drowned out the noise of her misspent youth. She now studies theology, legend, myth and science, and is an ordained minister and a student of metaphysics. Wilson has penned several short stories and essays under the collection THE FOIBLE, and produced the narrative development for the acclaimed Nintendo game MYSTIC SEARCHES. Her debut comic fantasy novel ASCENSION DENIED received wide critical acclaim, and her second novel THE HUMBUG MURDERS (co-authored with NY bestselling writer Scott Ciencin) was sold to Simon & Schuster under the pseudonym L. J. Oliver. It hits the shelves as a mass market paperback in October 2015.

This was a wonderful and imaginative book! It was pretty funny and had me laughing out loud at some parts (so don't read it in public if you don't like to be stared at). It was fast-paced and action packed. The the characters were original and great. What a great debut book!!
