After cheating death, Veronica Welling is determined to savor every moment in her idyllic kingdom with both her true love and best friend by her side at last. At the same time, Mackenna Reid is enthusiastically building her new life and a theater with her prince. But just as their dreams of happiness are within reach, the world Vee and Kenna have chosen is ripped away, leaving them to face their most horrific challenge yet—their old lives.

Thrust out of Doon, the best friends are confronted with tormentors from their past and no way to return to their adopted land. When the MacCrae brothers rush to their rescue, the girls' situation turns from nightmare to modern-day fairy tale. But their happiness could be short lived: unbeknownst to them, someone in their closest circle is aiding the witch of Doon in her bid to destroy the kingdom once and for all.

Carey Corp lives in the metropolitan Midwest with her loveable yet out-of-control family. Carey wrote her first book at the age of seven, and currently begins each morning consuming copious amounts of coffee while weaving stories that capture her exhaustive imagination. She harbors a voracious passion (in no consistent order) for mohawks, Italy, musical theater, chocolate, and Jane Austen. Carey’s debut novel for teens, The Halo Chronicles: The Guardian, earned her national recognition as 2010 Golden Heart finalist for best young adult fiction and was recently featured at the 2012 RT Booklovers Convention in Chicago in YA Alley.

Lorie Langdon has over ten years of experience writing online and print advertising for a Fortune 500 company, and left her thriving corporate career to satisfy the voices in her head. Now as a full-time author and stay-at-home mom, she spends her summers editing poolside while dodging automatic water-gun fire, and the rest of the year tucked into her cozy office, Havanese puppy by her side, working to translate her effusive imagination into the written word and continue to build the young-adult-focused blog, HonestlyYA.

OMG what to say about this one. The first part was awesome the middle was kinda meh then the ending just had me screaming NOOOOOO. Then the surprise ending had me feeling blissful at least a little. I really kinda do wish that the last chapter wouldn't have been in there. For people who have read it you know which one I'm talking about. Of course not knowing for a year (even now it's gonna be a very long 6 months) before the next book comes out would have KILLED ME!! I think that it would have made the buzz for the book more. Because we would all be talking about the death of a certain someone. And we would all be swooning omg no no!! Then finding out what we already know we would all be like ya yay I see what you did there you evil authors LOL.

The story picks up shortly after book two ends. The girls are in Doon making a life. Vee is still learning the ropes of what it really means to be queen and Kenna has pretty much come to terms with giving up the lime light in our world. Of course the witch (evil witch) is back in this one and it's an all out war. I really liked that the authors didn't shy away from offing some of their characters. And that each girl does grow in this book. Vee really does come into her own as queen and does what she needs to do to save her kingdom and Kenna does the same as learning she really can be happy there.

Over the weekend we (Rachael and Jessica~that's me lol) we got to chat it up with the authors!  You can see the interview we did along with Melissa Landers (author of Alientated and Starflight) below.  Well anyway it seems that in book four we might get an extra POV which I'm VERY excited about!!! Hehehehehe.

Also for those who don't know you can find some extra content on their sight here's the link for that. I'm excited to see the chapters that were cut.  I've been told they have anything as of yet for this book but that's ok.

 Go Into This One Knowing
Alright so I'm off of here to go read another book!! Hope you pick up this amazing heart wrenching series soon if you haven't! It's amazing!
