Well y 5 year old really loves this! She no longer has to hold the spader kindle in her hand to watch a show or movie. It was easy to instal and well it can take a hit. My 11 year old whom was sitting in the far back seat folded the seat that was in front of her where the tablet was and knocked the thing that holds the tablet right off. And it was perfectly fine. So I would say that if you have your tablet on it to be careful not to hit it with another seat.
