#Top10Tuesday with @EndyOchita Back To School with special note to @SomanChainani

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish in June 2010. This feature was created because they are particularly fond of lists at The Broke and the Bookish. They would love to share their lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!

Each week they will post a new Top Ten list  that one of our bloggers at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All they ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post and, if you want to, add your name to the Linky widget on that day's posts (typically put up midnight EST on Tuesday) so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

Endy here!  This Tuesday is about back to school.  So this seemed like the perfect time to talk about why Middle Grade books arent for me anymore.

Over the last two weeks before school started I was reading through the books I got from BEA, Bookcon, and what my mom got me from ALA.  And I noticed that I just wasnt getting into any of them.  But as soon as I switched to Teen I was diving in full force. And I was enjoying the books more.  So I think at my old age of 12 that I've out grown middle grade books.

Don't worry Soman Chainani The School for Good and Evil will always ALWAYS!!!! with unicorns on top. LIVE on my shelf.  Its one that I die hard love and its never going anywhere!!! NEVER NEVER NEVER!!!!

I think that for the most part that middle grade books are just to low for me now.  There is no real danger and I'm just board.  I want more from the characters and the story!  I had to read The Shadow Children for school and I was so board out of my mind.  I felt like telling my english teacher that why couldn't we have read the Hunger Games or Divergent if they wanted us to read a dystopian. I mean really at least it was good!!

My list of 10 reasons why Middle Grade isn't for me anymore.

1. It feels like they dumb down the plot
2. The characters just arent going through enough situations
3. The story isn't complex enough
5. I want more via threats, romance, and the like
6. I am not a big fan on the romance but the characters should be able to do what they want to do.  If they want to kiss then let them! Im 12 I'm not stupid I know what sex is and I know where babies come from.
7. I can read longer books TSFGAE is what like 500 pages long!
8. I am not an idiot I can understand better situations in books.
9. Because of Potatoes
10. Because of Unicorns

So thats my top ten list for this week.  Mom back to you!
